Adopting sensory-friendly mealtimes is often the "missing piece" when it comes to helping children with food challenges.

Many parents don’t realise how deeply sensory needs affect their child’s willingness to try new foods or feel comfortable during meals. Unmet sensory needs can lead to food refusals, stress at the table, and limited diets.

Social proof: testimonials

“Having exhausted our avenues within the NHS and getting nowhere, Dr Kirsty Porter was a very welcome source of positivity. We felt listened to and our issues were taken seriously. The help and guidance offered not only alleviated our own stress, but it more importantly has helped put actions in place for our daughter. It will be a long journey, but even in the past few weeks we have noticed small, positive changes. We would highly recommend Dr Kirsty Porter and are very thankful for her advice.”

Grace

  • This Programme is not suitable for:

Our Programme is play based so is suited best to children between the ages of 3 and 10. If you're looking for a quick and simple solution, this is not for you. The journey of helping your child overcome sensory eating challenges takes time, patience and persistence. We focus on meeting your child where he/she is and working at their pace. Consistency is key. If your child has a complex eating disorder such as anorexia, bulimia or body dysmorphia or AFRID. These children need very specific assessment and support.

The background behind our Sensory Food Programme:

Grace and I have both seen firsthand how many families struggle to get the right support when it comes to sensory feeding challenges. With nearly 30 years of combined experience as a children’s dietitian and occupational therapist, we have witnessed the frustration parents feel when there is no coordinated support through the NHS or a clear path to follow.

We created this programme because we understand the need for a joined-up approach, and we want to offer families the comprehensive, practical help that simply isn’t available through traditional services. Both of us have also experienced these challenges personally, and we know how overwhelming it can be without the right resources and guidance. This programme is designed to bridge that gap, providing you with expert support that covers both the sensory and dietary aspects of feeding. You can also be part of our online community of other parents on the same boat to get ongoing support from each other as well as experts providing some support too.
